The main goal of Prottoy Special Child Care and Education Center is to create a platform for every child with special needs, where they can fully develop their potential.

 General Objectives 1. Achievement of holistic development of children: To support the overall development of children with special needs in terms of physical, mental, social, emotional and educational aspects. 2. Empowerment of families: To provide parents with the necessary knowledge, skills and support so that they can play an effective role in the development of their children 3.Ensuring social inclusion: To help children integrate into the mainstream of society and develop them as self-reliant and confident citizens.  Specific Objectives 1. Increase in personal skills: To develop skill development programs for each child according to their individual needs, such as increasing the ability to speak, walk, eat and perform daily tasks. 2. Improvement in the quality of education: To ensure their educational progress by using teaching methods and equipment suitable for special children. This includes teaching letters, numbers and other basic concepts. 3.Providing therapeutic services: Providing special services such as speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy regularly and effectively. 4.Encouraging social interaction: Helping children develop social skills through building relationships and playing. 5.Training parents: Training parents on the care and education of special children through regular workshops and counseling. 6. Ensuring a safe environment: Creating a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children, where they can learn and grow without fear.

Children with special needs are often neglected and deprived in our society. Lack of proper education and care for them was a glaring problem. Realizing this problem, a dreamer, Rokeya Akhter, felt the need to create a safe and compassionate place for these children, where they would not only receive education, but also love and proper guidance. From this deep understanding, 'Prottoy Special Child Care and Education Center' was born. In March 2023, Rokeya Akhter's long-standing dream became a reality when she established an institution for children with special needs. While working at Jessore Proyas since 2018, she experienced the needs of these children very closely and after completing her BSED from Dhaka Proyas in 2022, she started a new chapter by utilizing that experience and knowledge. Initially, the activities of this institution started in a rented house at Jessore Biman Office Mor. Although the institution started with 6 students, 3 teachers and 1 class assistant in 1 batch, it quickly gained the trust of the parents. In order to provide better and more complete services, Rokeya Akter left her job at Jessore Tryas in 2024 and focused entirely on her own institution. The main goal of the institution was not only to provide education, but also to develop the latent potential of each child. Parents came here and found a different environment, where each child was given personal care according to their needs. Through an integrated application of therapy, sports, and teaching methods, children gradually learn to overcome their limitations. As a result, many children are able to lead a normal life and get the opportunity to study in mainstream schools. Their success is a testament to the institution's excellence. In 2024, as the number of students increased, there was a shortage of space. As a result, the institution needed to be shifted to a new and bigger place. That same year, the institution was shifted to a rented house on Kazi Para Road, Chuadanga Bus Stand. At the beginning of this new journey, the name of the institution was changed to "Prottoy Special Child Care and Education Center". The main goal of 'Prottoy' was to go beyond the general education system and ensure personal care according to the needs of each child. Here, emphasis is not only on reading books, but also on teaching children socialization, self-reliance and daily tasks. The institution is working with the aim of ensuring that every child here can stand tall as a self-reliant member of society. Their physical and mental development is supported through sports, art, and regular therapy. Currently, there are a total of 46 students in 4 batches at Pratyay Special Child Care and Education Center. 10 teachers and staff are working tirelessly for them. The biggest success of the institution is that many students here have recovered and got the opportunity to study in regular schools, which has opened new horizons for their future lives. The biggest success is when a special child is integrating into the mainstream of society, learning to do his own work, then every member of the organization smiles. When parents say, "My child now plays with everyone and behaves like a normal child," then it seems that the existence of this organization is worthwhile. Prottoy Special Child Care and Education Center wants to become a complete center for children with special needs by constructing a permanent and modern building, introducing advanced therapeutic services, improving the skills of teachers, providing employment training and raising awareness in the society. Through the tireless efforts of Rokeya Akhter and the continuous service of this organization, positive changes are coming in the lives of children with special needs. It is now not just an institution, but a new light of hope for many children.
